Welcome again, to another instalment of Dream Garage. Tonight’s challenge only has one main condition, but it should get you thinking.
Here are the rules:
You have a three vehicle garage...
American, Japanese, German, South Korean, Swedish, Italian, British and French cars are
all
banned
*.
* This includes brands with foreign ownership. So Volvo, Jaguar, etc are still banned.
However, the opposite is allowed. So Holden, Škoda, etc are free for you to use.
So with these eight countries unavailable, you must choose a three car garage with cars from the rest of the world. Enjoy Oppo~

So I assume localized CKDs are also banned? What about cars built from old tooling from the banned countries?

I think the Dacia is banned, considering they are owned by Renault and built with Nissan technology.

Holden HSV Maloo, because under your rules it qualifies as an Aussie company rather than an American one.

1: Mastretta MXT from Mexico
2: Holden Colorado from Australia, built in Thailand (if brands from banned countries under foreign ownership are banned, does the same apply for brands from non-banned countries owned by companies from banned countries?)
3. Skoda Yeti from the Czech Republic (same here, as they’re owned by VW, a German company)

You are entirely correct, but the brand itself originates from Romania - so it’s allowed.

Yep. It’s been GM owned since forever, but it’s technically originally an Australian brand, Holden is allowed.
Love your selection btw. Very diverse.

I’ll allow them all.
Multiple people have asked this so I think I’ll make a note of this in the OP.
Fantastic selection by the way, I thought I was the only person who remembered the Yeti.

Never knew they made a road version of the Vertigo. Looks awesome.
As for the Korres P4, I’ve never even heard of it myself, it looks really cool too - like a Rally Fighter with portal axels.
It’s odd when the car I’m most familiar with here is the Carver. xD

Couple of generations/facelifts actually. IIRC it held the title for fastest accelerating road car (0-100 km/h) for a while.
I’m not sure whether the Korres is officially for sale, but it’s absolutely bonkers, so I couldn’t not include it.

You’re right about the Vertigo I think. It was made since 1992 and looks like it’s been updated since.
Those clown shoe proportions though.
And I’ll allow the Korres. It’s so amazing and crazy, I want one too, regardless of how much of it was actually produced.

I learned about it not too long ago after Archduke made me fall in love with Polonez rally cars. I jumped down the knowledge-seeking rabbit hole and came up with this! Unbelievably cool.

South Africa also had a 3.3 litre E30, a 300bhp GTV6 and a V8 Capri.
Pretty cool exclusive models for that market.

Interesting choices right there.
Especially with the DAF, its main party trick was its ‘Variomatic’ transmission, present in nearly all of their cars. This allowed the cars to go as fast as they could in reverse.
The end result? Reverse racing.

That’s hilarious! 10/10 would go get some Volvo and DAF 66's and try that ;)
